How will my annual leave be calculated?

Yes, so long as you advise us and it doesn't conflict with your work at Imago

Will I still need to save holiday entitlement to cover the Christmas period

Yes, all Imago venues will close over the Christmas period, reopening on 2 January of the following year

Will my prior years of service with Imago continue

If you are currently an employee without any break in service (apart from Maternity Leave for example) then your prior service will be taken into account. This will be noted on your Employment Agreement (contract)

What's the maximum unpaid leave I could have in a year

This would depend on individual needs and business requirements. Please discuss with your Manager on a 1-2-1 basis

What are the rules relating to unpaid leave

Managers will discuss with employees on an individual basis. We'll listen to why you want unpaid leave and accommodate it whenever we can

What's the holiday entitlement for casuals

There's currently no change to how it's calculated

What is the notice period for team members

For permanent employees you should give 1 week in the first 3 months of employment and then 1 month ongoing

How is company sick pay calculated

What does the 17 week reference period mean in the 48 hour opt out

How is formal consultation different from informal?

Formal consultation is a process with specific rules about how we communicate and consult with individuals about proposed changes.

Why are most of the changes focused on Operations?

Because of the need to work to a model that is reflective of the hospitality industry. A model that is designed to be more flexible - flexing up with business needs.

If I want to apply for a mortgage, what will my letter from Imago say?

We will confirm the minimum guaranteed hours and the average hours worked and provide references upon request

How will this change affect me applying for (e.g.) student finance/car loan?

What if I can't/don't sign?

We'll talk to you on a 1-2-1 basis to understand your reasons for your decision and to advise of your next steps

As a Casual Worker, what are my options if I don't sign a guaranteed hours contract?

You can remain as a Casual worker so long as you sign the updated Casual Worker terms.

How will the amount of people needed on a shift and per venue be calculated?

In line with business need, which is our current practice.

If I want to, will I be able to move across venues in order to increase my working hours?

Yes, when business needs and where your skill set allows

What if I only want to/can only work 30 hours per week?

That's fine, although Imago will have more hours to be fulfilled, we respect your individual decision.

What if my rota'd hours change after I've been put on rota?

With respect to payment, where rotas are in excess of minimum hours, you will be paid for every hour worked. If the hours worked are less than the minimum guaranteed, you will be paid for your minimum hours.

Will I be sent home mid shift?

It's unlikely, but if that were to happen you'd be paid up to the number of your contractual guaranteed minimum hours

I can only work a certain number of hours in order to receive universal credit. How will you support me with this?

We will work individually with you to ensure that you can continue to receive Universal Credit or any other benefits

Will my current pension contributions change?

Your pension contributions will be based on your hours worked. In our current system, overtime is not pensionable.

What opportunity will I have to work extra hours?

The model will allow you to work extra hours dependant on business needs

If we don't sign the contract when do we get paid?

If you don't feel able to sign the contract we'll talk to you on a 1-2-1 basis to understand your reasons for that and then agree next steps together

If I resign now what happens re giving notice?

We hope you don't decide to resign, but if you do then your notice terms will be as per your current contract of employment

If I can't take a break or have to carry on into another shift, will I get paid for that?

You are legally entitled to a (paid) break appropriate to the length of your shift

If there are redundancies what is the effective date?

At the moment and as stated in each meeting the plan is not to implement a redundancy process

How do the bandings work?

Each role will be placed in a banding to ensure consistency of approach regarding benefits and pay. It will also help as we plan individual development. We'll talk to you more about this over the coming months

Do I have to sign the Working Time Directive opt out form?

No - this is personal choice

How can I ensure that I'll be considered for extra hours above my guaranteed minimum?

In the same way as now by working closely with your manager

Please can you clarify the 2 week advancement, does this mean we will be working 2 weeks for free at the end of their contract of employment?

How are you going to rota us, with food and beverage being an ever changing challenge?

Our sales forecasting and visibility will help us to provide rotas two weeks in advance. We'll also work with you to ensure that your personal commitments are taken into account

Is it likely that Loughborough University will take over the running of Imago's venues

No

Would I still get a choice as to what days I want to work and the number of hours?

We'll do what we can to balance your personal and our busness needs as we always have

What's the development programme?

It's an individual personalised development plan designed to give you the skills to not only grow your career within Imago but also outside of it if that's what you want.

Is the 10 hour contract right for me if there are certain weeks that I cannot do?

Yes we can accommodate that, please talk with your line manager

If I'm on a guaranteed hours contract do I still get paid for hours if they aren't available?

Yes, we have to pay them because they are guaranteed

Will I still get paid monthly?

Yes, but you'll get paid closer to realtime

Will I have to work at other Imago venues to fulfil my minimum hours?

For many reasons it's important that you work as much as possible on one site. However, from time to time, you may need to work at another site

If I sign a minimum hours contract and it doesn't work for me, can I go back to being a Casual Worker?

Yes, but we're hoping you won't need to

If I want to book a holiday how much notice should I give

2 weeks notice

How do these changes help the business

In becoming less reliant on casual labour we can change, with your support, from a high headcount with low reward, to a low headcount with high reward and by doing so increase overall productivity

Are you scrapping the current Imago bonus plan

Yes as detailed in the presentations this week we are replacing with better pay and conditions.

How many shareholders does Imago have

We don't have any shareholders. We are a subsidiary of LU

Is everybody in Imago being asked to sign a new contract?

Yes

If I only work 30 hours per week will my pay drop?

This will depend on what you were working historically.
